The photography is only half the job – after the wedding, I carefully review and edit each wedding photo to ensure the best possible results. I adjust the light, fine-tune the colors, and give each image the attention it deserves.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wedding Photography in Stockholm
My rate is SEK 2,000 per hour, including 25% Swedish VAT. Four hours of coverage costs SEK 16,000 and a full day of eight hours costs SEK 32,000. The price includes image selection, editing, and delivery, since post-processing takes about as long as the wedding itself.
Yes. Many international couples choose an intimate ceremony with just a few guests, or simply the two of you. Elopements work beautifully in Stockholm, and a couple of hours is often enough to cover the ceremony and portraits in the Old Town or by the water.
Yes. Civil ceremonies at Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset) are popular with both Swedish and international couples. The ceremony itself is short, so most couples combine it with a portrait session nearby, for example on Riddarholmen or in Gamla Stan, the Old Town. I’ll help you plan the timing so you get both the ceremony and relaxed portraits.
Yes, but you need to complete a marriage impediment investigation (hindersprövning) with the Swedish Tax Agency, Skatteverket, before the ceremony. The requirements differ depending on whether either of you lives in Sweden, so check Skatteverket’s website early in your planning. Once the paperwork is done, I’m happy to help with the rest of the day.
June through August offers long, light evenings, with daylight lasting well past 10 p.m. around Midsummer, which is perfect for golden-hour portraits. Spring and early fall are calmer and often easier to book. Winter weddings have short days but a magical atmosphere, especially with snow, so we plan portraits for the early afternoon light.
Popular locations include Gamla Stan with its cobblestone streets, Riddarholmen and its waterfront views, Södermalm, the green parks of Djurgården, and the rocky shores of the Stockholm archipelago. I’ll suggest spots based on the season, the light, and how much time you want to spend moving between locations.
Yes. I photograph weddings in the archipelago, at manor houses, and in countryside venues around Stockholm, and I also travel to other parts of Sweden, with an added travelkost.
Yes. Some couples book a separate portrait session, either on the wedding day or on another day. It gives you more time and freedom to be creative, and it’s a great option if your ceremony is small or very short.
Most couples feel that way, and it’s completely normal. During the day I work discreetly in a documentary style, and during portraits I give simple, relaxed directions so you can just enjoy being together. As my past couples’ reviews show, many say they almost forgot I was there.
You’ll receive your fully edited photos within a few weeks of your wedding, delivered as a download with every image in several sizes: high resolution for printing and smaller versions ready to share online. I edit every image by hand, and if you’d like a mix of color and black-and-white photos, just let me know before the wedding.
